SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix in Giurgiu, Romania on October 12th
The fourth edition of SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix of this year will be a special one because it will be made between the Euroregion Giurgiu-Ruse in partnership with the local autorithies from Giurgiu (Romania) and Ruse (Bulgaria).
The event from October 12th, 2013 from Polyvalent Hall of Giurgiu (Romania) will have as main-event the super-fight between SUPERKOMBAT cruiserweight champion Bogdan Stoica (15W / 10KO – 2L – 0D) from Romania and Amir “The Sphinx” Zeyada (58W / 19KO – 19L – 0D) from Egypt, known after he knoked-out twice Tyrone Spong.
“Is the first time for us when we make an event after two cities from two countries have joined their forces. This proves once again that we are not only a stand-up promotion, we promote also the history and culture from each city where we make events. We will support Ruse in the race for European Capital of Culture from 2019″, said Eduard Irimia, president of SUPERKOMBAT Fighting Championship.
SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix (Giurgiu) was presented in two press conferences, one was held in Giurgiu (Romania) and the other one was held in Ruse (Bulgaria). “I’m ready for a real war. Zeyada is a fighter with a huge experience. He won two times with Tyrone Spong and that’s say a lot about him. I will use my entire arsenal of kicks for this fight”, said Bogdan Stoica, SUPERKOMBAT cruiserweight champion.
After in May 12th, 2012, at SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix (Cluj), he was knocked-out in the second round, Redouan “The Spartan” Cairo (13W / 5KO – 6L – 0D) from Suriname wants his revenge against Sebastian “The Son of Dracula” Ciobanu (25W / 4KO – 12L – 0D) from Romania. In another super-fight at the heavyweight division, Damian Garcia (29W / 20 KO – 9L – 0D) from Spain will face James “The Beast” Wilson (7W / 2KO – 2L – 1D) from United States.
In the last qualification heavyweight tournament of the year, Thomas Vanneste (Belgium), Dorin Robert (Romania), Abderahmane Coulibaly (France) and Ibrahim Aarab (Morocco) will fight for the last ticket for SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix – Final Elimination scheduled on November 9th.
