Mike Zambidis Officially Enters K-1 World MAX 2013 Final 16 in Mallorca


After weeks of negotiations, K-1 Global is proud to announce that Greek legend Mike Zambidis and K-1 Global have come to an agreement and that “Iron Mike” will be fighting in the K-1 World MAX 2013 tournament! The K-1 World MAX 2013 tournament kicks off on September 14th in Mallorca, Spain with the K-1 World MAX 2013 Final 16 event. This will be Zambidis’s staggering eighth appearance in a K-1 World MAX tournament, with Zambidis looking to finally take home the prize that has eluded him by the way of the K-1 World MAX Championship.

Zambidis, known the world over as both “Iron Mike” and “Zambo,” has won over the hearts and minds of not only his fans home in Greece, but fans all over the world. Zambidis might not be the biggest dog in the fight, but he always puts forth a tremendous effort, leaving it all in the ring and fighting with a heart and unbreakable spirit that serves as an inspiration for fans everywhere. Zambidis also possesses amazing punching power, being one of the premier knockout artists in the K-1 MAX division since its inception. His record stands at 152-21, with an amazing 86 knockouts to his credit.

Zambidis makes for another interesting addition to the K-1 World MAX 2013 tournament, as many had Zambidis picked to win last year’s tournament before he ran into the 2012 champion, Murthel Groenhart, in the semi-finals. Zambidis has been training hard for this year’s tournament, where once again the world will be watching, ready to see Zambidis do what he does best.
