Fight Now TV home for SUPERKOMBAT Kickboxing Fighting Championship in U.S.
SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix Saturday from Romania
Fight Now! TV, America's 24/7 combat sports cable channel, is now THE exclusive home of SUPERKOMBAT Fighting Championship in the United States. SUPERKOMBAT is currently a European leader in fight TV production, featuring world-class kickboxing.
Fight Now! TV's exclusive deal with SUPERKOMBAT will bring five live events to the U.S. this year from September through December.
The newly founded international media partnership kicks-off this Thursday and Friday, September 26 and 27, with two days of recent SUPERKOMBAT events airing on Fight Now! TV's Every Night a Different Fight timeslot.
The exciting action culminates in the promotion's live U.S. debut this Saturday afternoon (Sept. 28) with SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix, LIVE starting at 3 p.m. ET from Botosani, Romania.
"This is a great way to introduce combat sports fans to the talent and quality of events SUPERKOMBAT has to offer," said Brad Sanguin Programming & Production manager for Fight Now! TV.
"Fight Now! TV believes in ambitious projects, so we decided to make this deal a media partnership," SUPERKOMBAT President Eduard Irimia added. "We're hopeful that this may be the beginning of a long term relationship. We are proud to air the first event broadcasted live in the USA - SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix. A heavyweight Superfight is set for the main event as Benjamin "Mr. Gentleman" Adegbuyi takes onwith Reamon Welboren, highlighting an eight-fight card also featuring a four-man heavyweight tournament. The winner will land a spot in the SUPERKOMBAT Final Elimination event on November 9.
American Leroy Johnson will be featured in the single-night tournament, as well as Giannis Stoforidis, Gaetan Sautron and D'Angelo Marshall. SUPERKOMBAT stars Andrei "Mr. KO" Stoica, Dzenan Poturak and Ionut "Pitbull" Atodiresei are also slated to fight on the Sept. 28 kickboxing event.
