Superkombat World Grand Prix in Constanta, Romania on May 24th
Superkombat is coming back with a new and explosive edition of the World Grand Prix on May 24th, in one of the most attractive seaside destinations on the Black Sea coast, Mamaia, Romania, famous for it’s night life and water sports. Fighters out of nine countries will be confronting in a VIP event, which will include a world tournament for the light heavyweight division.
Taking into consideration the great success that Superkombat had in promoting touristic brands of countries like Montenegro and Azerbaijan, Superkombat will, this summer, be an international ambassador of the Romanian seaside touristic attractions, through a project which implies that three of the Superkombat biggest events to be hosted in that area. In a press conference that took place in Mamaia, Mrs. Corina Martin, the President of the Litoral Delta Dunarii Association spoked about this as a possibility. “We have followed the evolution of this product in the last few years and it would be a real step ahead if we would host three of the shows in our area of function. We will most certainly attract an impressive amount of tourists”, said Mrs. Martin.
Superkombat World Grand Prix from Constanta, Romania, will schedule a tournament for the light heavyweight division (-81 kg) in which the WAKO amateur world champion, Miljan Vidovic of Serbia, who is looked upon as the favorite for the title, will have to face in the semifinals the new comer Miles Simson. In the second semifinal, the Superkombat World Tryouts (Middlesbrough, United Kingdom) winner, Jamie Bates, will fight for a place in the final with Flavius Boiciuc from Romania.
The WKA world champion, the Angolan Aristote Quitusisa will make his debut in Superkombat by fighting in the light heavyweight category with the former Local Kombat champion and also with the European WAKO champions, Daniel Alexandru, who is Catalin Morosanu’s training colleague.
Micky Terrill from Great Britain has little time left until one of the most important fights of his career, one month after the Superkombat World Tryouts (Middlesbrough, United Kingdom) and is ready to prove his skills at his debut, having Danut Hurduc as his opponent, a new rising star of Romanian kickboxing.
Coming right from Vlad The Impaler town, the man who scored two brutal KO’s in his first year in Superkombat, Cristian Ristea is threatening to win in a fast manner the fight with the German who is living in Spain, Christian Brorhilker. The proud winner of the Intercontinental WKN belt and a former challenger for the world title of Superkombat New Heroes, Amansio Paraschiv, is coming back into the ring, and after the draw with the fighter Cedric Manhoef, will have an interesting duel with the Bulgarian Rangel Ivanov.
In the main-event of the night, Sebastian Ciobanu, after he managed to defeat amazingly big stars like Mighty Mo, Roman Kleibl and Ratislav Talarovic at heavyweight division, will return to the super cruiser and he will have the WKN muay thai world champion, Jallon Corentin, as opponent.
