K-1 MAX Final in Thailand Postponed Due to Political Climate
Due to circumstances outside of K-1's control, the K-1 World MAX Finals scheduled for July 26th in Pattaya, Thailand has been delayed due to the turbulent political climate in Thailand at the moment.
For those who are unaware, on May 22nd there was a successful military coup in Thailand, leading to unrest and unease throughout the country. There is currently a military-mandated curfew in effect for the foreseeable future until things have calmed down in Thailand, making promoting an event for fans in Thailand impossible at the time being. While K-1 does not plan on delaying the event for long, it is expected to be a few months before Thailand is stable again. K-1 promises fans in Thailand that the K-1 World MAX Finals will take place in Thailand at a later date.
K-1 wishes the best for all of the people in Thailand and for the great nation of Thailand to be stable soon.

Re: K-1 MAX Final in Thailand - Postponed **Updates**
K-1 has announced a new date for their K-1 World MAX Final event in Pattaya, Thailand. Originally scheduled for July, K-1 ran into issues due to the recent political coup in Thailand. Part of the issue was being a foreign promoter looking to enter into a climate that is not usually friendly to outside promoters during a period of turmoil and so many internal changes. K-1 has worked with the local Thai government to acquire the proper licensing and the K-1 World MAX Finals will happen on October 4th, 2014 in Pattaya, Thailand.
