Badr Hari Charged With Attempted Manslaughter

Badr Hari is facing a possible attempted manslaughter charge following an appearance in front of an Amsterdam magistrate today.

He is alleged to have taken part in an assault on a reveller at a rave in Amsterdam Arena earlier this month, before going on holiday with his girlfriend Estelle Gullit, estranged wife of the Dutch footballing icon Ruud Gullit.

Having returned from holiday this week Hari handed himself in to police Wednesday night and was arrested on doing so. He has been detained in custody since then and today his remand was extended by the magistrates, who gave police permission to hold him for two weeks.

Badr Hari has confessed to the police to be involved in the mistreatment of businessman Koen Everink in a skybox at the Amsterdam ArenA during the dance party Sensation.
The kick boxer had previously denied anything more in the media with the fight to be related. Now he admits to have taken a hit, reports De Telegraaf. The other hits were distributed by co-offenders. One of them has been arrested.

Estelle Cruyff, the friend of Hari that the night of the assault was with him, may have a false statement, according to De Telegraaf.

According to the newspaper's unclear if Badr Hari in the case of the Amsterdam nightclub Club Air has made a statement. The police next to the statement of the victim in this matter have additional evidence.
