GRAPPLERS QUEST DEBUTS IN MIDWEST - May 19 IN COLUMBUS OHIO MAY 19


Grapplers Quest will host the 2012 Mid West Grappling Championships, presented by TapouT, on Saturday, May 19 at The Ultimate Sports Center (located at 1200 Steelwood Road) in Columbus, Ohio.

Three hundred Championship titles in Submission Grappling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo and Wrestling will be contested for cash and prizes valued at $15,000, including custom championship belts for Advanced Adult Divisions and the largest medallions in grappling, plus certificates for champions. Competitors of all ages and skill levels participate in this event that is open to all grappling styles in order to determine this year's best grapplers in Midwestern United States.

Fighters may pre-register to compete online until Wednesday, May 16 at 11:59 PM CST and get a Free TapouT T-Shirt at: http://tinyurl.com/7hyjqxw OR competitors can register at the venue, on Friday, May 18 between 5:00-8:00 PM/CST and Saturday, May 19, starting at 7:00 AM. All competitors, ages, skill levels, teams and independents are welcome.

Spectator Passes are available to purchase in advance for only $15 ($20 off at-the-door) by going to http://www.grapplersquest.com/products/ ... or-pricing or the day of the event available at the door for $20 each per day (adults), $10 (children), and free for children under six. Competition begins at 11:00 AM/ET. $1 from every ticket pre-sold will be donated to benefit Autism (http://AutismRadio.org - a 501c3 charitable organization helping families with Autism directly).

Grappling is the fast-paced ground fighting art of Mixed Martial Arts, combining the throws of Olympic Judo, takedowns of Greco Roman and Freestyle Wrestling, Leg Locks from Sambo, and other Submissions from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu-like arm bars, shoulder locks and chokes. More than 200 competition teams and 1,000 competitors are expected to participate from 27 countries including United States, Brazil, Canada, Russia, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Japan, Croatia, Holland, England, France, and Australia. Grapplers Quest events are sponsored by TapouT, Gaspari Nutrition, Zebra Mats and Super Body Care.
