Tryouts for the first all-women series to be held in Las Vegas Monday, April 28 - Coaches will be UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis and No. 2 ranked lightweight contender Gilbert Melendez
In the aftermath of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) organization’s 20th anniversary, the UFC is kicking off its next two decades with a fresh twist on its storied reality television series, The Ultimate Fighter. For the first time ever, the series’ 20th season will feature an all women cast in the UFC’s newest weight division and a new title for the winner – that of UFC champion.
In addition to the lucrative contract with the UFC, the winner of this season of The Ultimate Fighter will be crowned the UFC strawweight division’s inaugural champion.
Women in the 115-pound division are invited to attend the official tryouts in Las Vegas, Nev. on Monday, April 28. Candidates must be female, between the ages of 21 and 34 years of age, have the legal ability to live and work in the United States, and have professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fight experience – holding a winning record (with verifiable records). Applications, which should be completed and brought to the tryouts, can be found online at http://www.ufc.com/tuf20. Tryout details are provided below:

Tryouts will be held in the Grand Ballroom

Registration begins @ 8:00 a.m. PT
Fighters will be required to grapple & hit pads. Please bring appropriate gear.
*Applicants will be notified at the end of the tryouts if they have been selected to participate in the casting finals process. If selected, applicants must be prepared to stay in Las Vegas until May 1.

The Ultimate Fighter, which debuted in 2005, has launched the careers of more than 100 UFC fighters and produced champions such as Forrest Griffin, Rashad Evans and Matt Serra and season winners including Michael Bisping, Ryan Bader and Nate Diaz. The Ultimate Fighter 20 will begin filming in May and premiere on FOX Sports 1 on Sept. 10
