Weekend Warrior Camp Provides Safe, Personalized Instruction

STATE COLLEGE, PA., - Ken Chertow Wrestling, the Nation’s largest wrestling camp
system, will host two and three day camps across the Nation this fall. We are
scheduled to conduct sixteen camps in twelve different states.

The camp is owned and coached by Ken Chertow, a 3-time NCAA All-American at Penn State University and United States Olympian. Coach Chertow, who has been teaching and coaching wrestling for more than 20 years, including coaching stints at both Penn State and Ohio State University. Coach Chertow has seen his campers succeed at the state, national and world level. Coach Chertow’s camps have helped produce more than 500 state champions from 1998-2009. Coach Chertow’s focus is helping kids grow into successful student-athletes with a passion for wrestling and personal achievement.

Coach Chertow’s Weekend Warrior camp includes twelve hours of instruction and training with guest clinicians providing personalized feedback to all campers. Weekend Warrior camps consists of four essential components, technique instruction, intense drilling, live wrestling, and sports science discussions.

We are very excited to announce a NEW location for our Winter Break Training Camp, the Crowne Plaza Hotel Convention Center adjacent to the King of Prussia Mall in Philadelphia. We will eat, sleep, and train in this excellent learning and training facility.

Pre-season training is essential for wrestlers of all ages to be prepared for a successful season. Ken Chertow Wrestling has camps specifically designed to give you the edge to excel this season. Weekend Warrior Training Camps will be conducted in many locations across the country starting this weekend through November. We have pre-season camps in over 10 different states and wrestlers from throughout the Nation travel to train with us.

We will conduct our 15th annual Winter Break Training Camp at a great, NEW location this winter. We are very excited to announce the Crowne Plaza Hotel Convention Center adjacent to the King of Prussia Mall in Philadelphia as our host facility for WBTC. We will eat, sleep, and train in this excellent learning and training facility. We will provide a free and reliable airport shuttle and encourage you to make plans soon.

There are camp options for all ages and skill levels with team and group discounts available. All of our camps include technical instruction covering a significant amount of high level technique. We drill intensely and wrestle live often. In addition, we will discuss critical areas including but not limited to mental preparation, weight control, and training methods. Our camps are not a random demonstration of moves. We provide a structured combination of technical instruction, live wrestling and repetition drilling based on an established system that has produced champions at all levels of wrestling.

STATE COLLEGE, PA., - Ken Chertow Wrestling, the nation’s largest wrestling camp system, will begin their 21st year of the Gold Medal Training Camp System on May 23. Gold Medal Wrestling will be conducting camps in 20 states this summer.

The camp is owned and operated by Ken Chertow, a 3-time NCAA All-American at Penn State University and United States Olympian. Chertow is present and coaches at all camp locations. Chertow, has been teaching and coaching wrestling for more than 20 years, including coaching stints at both Penn State and Ohio State Universities. Gold Medal campers have excelled at the state, national and world level. Chertow’s camps have helped produce more than 500 state champions from 1999 - 2009. Coach Chertow’s primary goal is to help the wrestlers succeed and excel on and off the mat.

On staff with Coach Chertow this year and in the past are highly recognized and successful clinicians and coaches including Olympians, NCAA Champions and many of the most successful and respected high school and college coaches in the country.

Wrestlers of all ages and skill levels are welcome with specifically designed camps for all ages. Chertow Camps offer a comprehensive approach to learning and mastering the sport of wrestling by incorporating various drilling methods, live wrestling, motivational talks and guest speakers to discuss many topics including weight management, nutrition, college scholarships and more.
