Fedor ‘Boot Camp’: MMA Legend Leads Training Class in California

Recognized as one of the greatest mixed martial arts fighters of all time, Fedor ‘The Last Emperor’ Emelianenko will lead a two-hour MMA seminar master class at the M-1 Global training facility in Chatsworth, California on Sunday October 17th, 2010 from 2pm-4pm. In front of a limited class of 50 participants, Emelianenko will impart his knowledge and skills to a group determined to enhance their talents through instruction from a legend within the sport.

“Having an opportunity to learn from one of the greatest fighters is mixed martial arts history is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” says M-1 Global Director of Operations, Evgeni Kogan. “Fans of Fedor and seminar participants will certainly walk away with a new skill set they never thought was possible. We hope to see Fedor in the USA much more.”

Fedor’s ‘Boot Camp’ comes just days before M-1 Challenge XXI: Guram vs. Garner, scheduled for October 28th in St. Petersburg, Russia where the first-ever M-1 Challenge championships belts will be awarded in the lightweight, middleweight and heavyweight divisions. The remaining welterweight and light heavyweight champions will be crowned December 11th back in Atlantic City New Jersey at M-1 Challenge XXII. At the close of these two events, all five champions will be adorned in their respective weight class belts and the coveted contention system will be fuelling 2011’s Challenge cards in the US and overseas.

2011 brings an action-packed calendar of M-1 Challenge events as the M-1 brand drives further into the US and European markets. With six M-1 Challenge mega-spectaculars planned, the M-1 Champions will look to defend their titles against the top fighters in the contention system. Fuelled with stacked undercards featuring new and returning warriors, the M-1 Challenge events will rival promotions for unsurpassed excitement, delivering live audiences and viewers worldwide the ultimate fan experience.
