Grappling in Boston this Saturday for Autism

AUTISM TAPS - SATURDAY IN BOSTON AT GRAPPLERS QUEST


Grapplers Quest is hosting the 2011 Northeast Grappling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Open Championships this Saturday (Sept. 17) at Reggie Lewis Center (located at 1350 Tremont Street in Boston, Massachusetts), to raise funds for AutismRadio.org, a 501c3 charitable organization benefiting families suffering with Autism directly.

One dollar from each ticket sold and competitor entry will be donated. Spectator tickets will be available at the door for $20; 8-17 yrs.; $10, under 7 is free.

For amateur fighters, pre-registration competitor discounts including a free t-shirt and DVD, will be open until Tuesday, September 13 at 11:59 PM EST (visit: http://bit.ly/dnmNZR). Fighter registration - open to all competitors, grappling styles, independents and teams - will also be accepted at the door. Competitors of all ages and skill levels participate in the event, which is open to all grappling styles to determine the best grapplers in the Northeast United States in 2011 on Saturday, September 17. Grappling is the fast paced ground fighting art of Mixed Martial Arts. It combines the throws of Olympic Judo, the takedowns of Greco Roman and Freestyle Wrestling, Leg Locks from Sambo, and other Submissions from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu like arm bars, shoulder locks and chokes.
