The MMA & Sports Expo ‘Show of Strength’ to Host Open Casting Call for Combat Sports Athletes in Atlantic City July 7 - 8
Expo attendees will have the opportunity to meet UFC Legend Dan “The Beast” Severn, Mortal Kombat Star Cary Tagawa and Sifu Cliffs Kung Fu Masters!
The MMA & Sports Expo ‘Show of Strength’ returns to Atlantic City on July 7, 2012 and for the first time ever will be hosting an open casting call for combat sports athletes. Experienced martial artists will have the unique opportunity be cast in a global combat sports reality television show. The Expo and casting call will take place on the Boardwalk and Beach in Atlantic City, NJ at The Pier Shops at Caesars Casino and Bally’s.
Reality show hopefuls will showcase their skills while being filmed by Hollywood producer/director Ben Perry, who has worked with many A-list celebrities including Chuck Norris and Clint Eastwood. Perry will be filming short videos of each fighter during the casting call, which will serve as the fighter’s official “tryout” video. The casting call is open to fighters that train in all forms of combat.
According to James Jefferson, president of The MMA & Sports Expo, “We have an amazing show planned! We are very excited about the upcoming ‘Show of Strength’ Expo in Atlantic City and to hosting the reality show casting call. The casting call offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for both up-and-coming and established fighters who are looking for a platform to advance their careers.”
Jefferson went on to say, “ALL experienced fighters with a combat sports background are encouraged to come out. The show’s creator is seeking elite fighters from all over the world. Fighters of all disciplines are welcome; MMA, Kung Fu, Jiu-Jitsu, Karate, Muay Thai, Boxing, K-1 and many others.”
The open casting call will take place July 7-8 during the expo. Fighters must pre-register at 9:00am ET on the boardwalk at the corner of Caesar’s and Bally’s (at the main entrance in front of the beach.) All fighters registered for the casting call will receive free access to the expo.
During the open casting call, reality show hopefuls will be required to demonstrate their fighting skills and tell the world why fight fans should vote them onto the show (fan votes will determine the final cast for this very exciting Hollywood TV project!) The MMA & Sports Expo will have training equipment and pads on-hand during filming. Coaches are welcome to attend.
The MMA & Sports Expo will feature celebrities, MMA fighters, World Champion Strongmen, Muscle Beach Bikini & Physique Championships, a BBQ contest with a $50,000 grand prize and seminars hosted by world class instructors including Mortal Kombat Star Cary Tagawa and Sifu Cliffs Kung Fu Masters.
Attendees will enjoy a thrilling weekend on the Beach in Atlantic City starting at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 7 and ending at 6:00 pm on Sunday, July 8. Expo events include the following:
