Just got back from the USO tour in Kuwait and Iraq! We are processing all of the photos and by next week there will be a full recap of my trip along with hundreds of photos on http://www.KevinRandleman.com and here on PDG. We are currently doing a full upgrade and update on my website. I will tell you guys that the trip itself was good and I had a great time.
Thanks! Yes the fight with Monson is definitely still a possibility. I am just waiting for my shoulder to get back to 100% and then I will be back.
If they pay me the same money that they are paying him….I would definitely fight him.
The video was filmed in Los Angeles on location at a shutdown police station. It has been awhile but I am pretty sure that was filmed back in 2003. I think it's cool that they are still promoting that video and even when I am currently out of the business….they just keep trying to pull me back in. It's nice to know that the fans are thinking about where I am at and I appreciate that more than anything else. I am getting ready and fans are going to enjoy watching me fight again soon.
So I am going to try a new blog format and answer more questions and give some thoughts about what Carpinello has asked me recently including tonight. Feel free to let me know what you think.
There is a big fight coming up next week between Lesnar and Couture and in my opinion Lesnar has a big advantage in size and power. Randy is going to have to use his mind, body and soul in this fight and to be honest I think he is going to win the fight.
I just got done watching the WEC fights tonight and there were some great fights. I think that Urijah Faber should get an immediate rematch with that guy. I don't think that he took his opponent seriously and he got caught with that punch and it was over. Brown was very aggressive and I don't think that Faber was ready. I think there should be a rematch because he had that title for a while and he deserves it. As far as the Pulver fight goes, you have to be aggressive and not just let your opponent come out there and hit you. That fight was crazy and I thought that he would fight better than he did. For the most part they were all good fights and I enjoyed all of them. The Paulo Filho fight was somewhat boring but at the same time it was exciting because he was getting his ass whooped the whole time. That was a good old ass kicking and Sonnen was the man and Filho was the boy. He couldn't do anything and I don't care about records but that was an ass kicking. The fact that he missed his weight and obviously looked bigger than his opponent just made the loss more entertaining. What weight class did Filho think they were fighting at? It may have been a boring fight to some of the people that were watching but any time you can see someone get their ass kicked and not be able to do anything about it…. it's funny. I honestly thought that he was going to be a juggernaut in that weight division.
On to another subject, things change and I will not be fighting before year end. I could definitely be cleared to fight but I would not be at 100%. At this stage in my career there is no reason to risk further injury by jumping back in there early. I just got clear to start training and lifting upper body again. I am not cleared to throw a punch 100 mph yet! If everything goes well I will be fighting at Sengoku 8. The last thing I need is to risk having to endure another surgery. When I get back in the range, I am getting in there to hurt people, not like my last fight where I couldn't knock him out. I want to finish my fights and hurt my opponent. I can't wait get back in there and fight again but enough is enough. I'm tired of injuries, surgery and the rehab and all that other fucking bullshit that goes along with it. This time I will wait until unhealthy. I have now officially had every surgery I have needed to fix my body over the last six months. I can even sit Indian style which is something that I have not been able to do ever before in my life.
Next week I will tell you guys what I think about the fall of Elitexc and what I think will happen to Kimbo.
I want to give a big shout out to the troops that I visited on the USO tour and the Monster will be back in action in early 2009.
Peace and God Bless!
Is a fight with Monson still a possibility?
Best of luck on your comeback.

great interview. what if Affliction offered you a fight against Tim Sylvia?
If they pay me the same money that they are paying him….I would definitely fight him.

Re: Kevin Randleman
First off THANKS to all you guys that keep supporting me. Still working on the website but it is close to done. Check it out at http://www.KevinRandleman.com!
Now to the good stuff.
Elitexc and Kimbo Slice
It was a bad situation with Elitexc putting all their eggs in one basket with Kimbo Slice. It was the wrong basket and the wrong bunny fellas. They rode him as long as they could and that is how business is, you have to put your money on something. They lost their backers or people with money but they will find new ones and I don’t think they are done yet. And to be honest I didn’t really care whether Kimbo won or lost that fight but I didn’t expect him to lose that way or that fast! Kimbo is a gamer and if he continues to train and fight he will get better.
Rampage versus the Axe Murderer!
It looks like Wanderlei has found his way in America. He has looked very good and if Jackson is not 100%, he is going to bring it right to him! Wanderlei is going to come straight at him and that is a fact. I see Wanderlei train in the gym all the time and he never strays from his regiment. I know that everyone can be beat but there is no where to run in that cage. For Quinton to win he is going to have to get in the middle of that cage and fight with all he has got. Some people have your number and although Quinton has been training hard I think he is going to get knocked out again! Wanderlei Silva is an incredible fighter right now and I would bet that Anderson Silva wouldn’t fight him.
God Bless
