Microsoft Offers Free Xbox Live Games in December
Microsoft is celebrating the holidays with more than just its new "Deal of the Week" program.
The company is also doing its best to lure gamers into subscribing to Xbox Live with the "Friendship is Free" initiative. For the rest of the month, Xbox Live Silver members will be able to access online multiplayer for free in eight select Xbox Live Arcade games.
The list of available games includes A Kingdom for Keflings, Aegis Wing, Bomberman Live, Hardwood Hearts, Hardwood Spades, Uno, Small Arms, and Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.
The highlight is of course Street Fighter, which you'll know is fantastic if you've read our review or checked out The 1UP Show last month.
The promotion is sure to spark plenty of backlash from those who think Xbox Live should always be free, but for the next few weeks, let's just enjoy throwing down Wild Draw-4 cards in Uno and absorbing those pearls of wisdom that Xbox Live members love to bestow upon their fellow gamers.
