Hayabusa Rashguard & Rio Fight Wear Customer Service Revie

Postby TheBrokenVow » Wed Jan 07, 2009 8:56 am

Recently I decided to order Hayabusa's long-sleeve rashguard (red/black one). After looking around I decided to give Rio Fight Wear a try (MMA Shorts, Jiu-Jitsu Gis, Gloves and Pads, Rash Guards, T-Shirts). The feedback I heard about them was good, and they had the best price on the rashie.

Customer Service
I ran into a small hiccup during the ordering process - a coupon code I had would not work. I called and spoke with Chris and he checked a few things on his end and had me try again. Still no luck, so he gave me another coupon to try. I guess my internet hates me because it didn't work - though he said others used the code fine earlier that day. No problem though.

Chris offered to take the order and do it on his end, or take care of it after I ordered. I was pretty much done ordering online so I said I'll finish here.

A few days later I called Chris about tracking information - but I accidentally did so "late" at night. For some reason I thought he was on the west coast, but I was wrong. He was really cool about it though, and also informed me he sent out a rebate check so that I would not end up with a second charge to my card - which is great because I used a debit card and despite having plenty of money there to cover it, I have 0 patience for anything messing with my account.

The order was placed on Nov 21 and arrived Nov 28.

CS - 10/10

Rashguard
You all know what it looks like already, but I'll post pictures of it in the next day or two while I'm wearing it. The stitching appears strong and the material doesn't feel cheap or like it will tear. While rolling I wasn't concerned about it. During warm-ups I felt a tad bit warm, but once we got going in class it really helped keep me dry. It was a nice snug fit and didn't bunch up too much. Any bunching didn't bother me. Additionally, it had enough length so I could tuck it into my shorts and it didn't come out. That was nice since I have a bit of a belly and I'd rather my stomach not hang out. I am 5'7" and about 160-ish pounds, but I'm a bit overweight. I generally wear size medium shirts, hoodies, etc so I ordered a medium rashguard and it fits great. Not to mention it looks bad ass!

Product - 9/10

Value
With shipping and handling and after you take into account my rebate check I spent $57.15 for the rashguard. While you can easily get L/S rashguards for quite a bit less, I feel that my money was well spent. Word is Hayabusa's guards last for a long time, and it definitely seems I got what I paid for. Additionally, Chris at RFW treated me very well and I was glad to give him my business. I would definitely order from him again, and would definitely buy another rashguard from Hayabusa.

$ - 8/10

Conclusion
All in all the Hayabusa rashguard is a great product and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new guard. If the price isn't a big deal to you it is well worth the money. I'd also recommend checking out Rio Fight Wear for whatever you might need - excellent service and Chris is a cool guy.
