Andrei Arlovski To Make Boxing Debut on April 11th!!!

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei "The Pitbull" Arlovski is set to make his professional boxing debut against a yet to be determined opponent on the undercard of the Winky Wright/Paul Williams bout on HBO. The announcement comes via Arlovski's manager Bill Keane, who spoke to ESPN.com about the upcoming bout. Arlovski, who last fought at Affliction's "Day of Reckoning" losing to WAMMA Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko, has been long-rumored to be making the move to professional boxing and has been training during his MMA career with respected boxing coach Freddie Roach. "The Pitbull" has been considered one of MMA's best strikers with his hands for most of his career, but it will be interesting to see if his success can carry over into the realm of boxing which relies on similar yet completely different skillsets. No terms have been released on Arlovski's recent contract with Golden Boy Promotions and it is unknown if he is moving to boxing full-time or if this is something that will be a part-time endeavor.
