10 Questions With Myles Jury (by Darrick Patrick)

Myles Jury is a professional mixed martial artist who has appeared in the King Of The Cage organization at events such as Settlement, Level One, Anticipation, Insanity, and Encore. At the time of this interview, his next scheduled match may possibly be in King Of The Cage at KOTC: Connection on July 18th, 2009.

Darrick: What was the journey that led you to professional mixed martial arts competition?

Myles: I just have always loved martial arts and I have also always been a competitor at heart. When I started doing martial arts, MMA was obviously a natural step to me.

Darrick: Any words of advice for other individuals looking to train in MMA?

Myles: The best advice I have to give is that being well-rounded is a huge part of it all.

Darrick: Who are a few of the people in the sport that you highly respect?

Myles: Georges St-Pierre would be the main person due to his character inside of the cage and out. He is a true champion and that's what I want to be. Other than that, it's really any good people out there that love mixed martial arts.

Darrick: Your next scheduled match could possibly be at KOTC: Connection on July 18th. What are the current details with your status in the event?

Myles: That event is kind of up in the air right now. I'm talking with my management and we are deciding what is the next best step for my career. If I do fight in the King Of The Cage show in July, I don't know who it will be against yet.

Darrick: What brings you the most fulfillment out of martial arts?

Myles: That's a tough question. I get so much fulfillment out of martial arts every time I train that it makes it all worth it. The most fulfilling aspect for me though I assume would to one day become a world champion.

Darrick: Who are some of the people that greatly influenced you while growing up?

Myles: My family and friends, of course. My training partners have also been a major influence to me.

Darrick: Outside of MMA, what are your other interests?

Myles: Just doing what I can to be living life to the fullest.

Darrick: What is your oldest memory?

Myles: Ah, I remember when I was really young around four or five years old. My brother had flung a flaming marshmallow onto my hand by accident. (Laughs) I still have a scar from it to this day.

Darrick: Tell us something about you that most people don't know.

Myles: I have an addiction to chocolate - which I get from my mom.

Darrick: When you're no longer amongst the living, how would you most like to be remembered?

Myles: As a champion and a warrior would be nice.
