BJ Penn will not underestimate Kenny Florian

BJ Penn and Kenny Florian will make the main event of UFC 101 on August 08th in Philadelphia. The Prodigy talked to Terra.com.br about his upcoming fight.

“I will do my best. I’m preparing myself as never did before. Florian has a harzadous style. He knows how to strike, use his elbows and control the opponent onto the floor. He combines hits but that’s nothing that I haven’t trained for.”

Penn says “Ken Flo” is not a challenge as tough as St-Pierre was becuase the Canadian has gotten to many conquests along his career but the Brazilian Black belt will not underestimate the current contender.

“Kenny is not a challenge like St-Pierre. Georges got the title and has proved he is a great champion. I faced him as a bigger challenge. But Kenny has his own style, went through adverse situations and won good fights. He has beaten up tough guys like Sean Sherk too. I don’t underestimate him at all.”

Either Florian and Penn were friends in the past but since Kenny started training with St-Pierre their relashionship went to the hell. The contender has stated he will kill the champion while BJ has showed himself in a very good shape for the title defense.
