Sorry I have taken a while to post but I have been extremely busy training, fighting and more training.
First off let me answer some of your comments (long overdue I know):
Great fucking fight Kevin! You showed that shit in the 3rd round. Ring Rust gone now get some wins.
- Thanks for your support, I just need to continue learning more and training my ass off so that I can improve a fighter.
Sick ass reversals and sweeps. Can't wait till you are back in the cage again.
- I have been telling people that I am taking this shit serious and that this sport has changed so much since I first started fighting that if I don’t evolve my skills I won’t have a future in the sport. I am going to going my BJJ training to the full extent.
What did you think of Shamrock calling you gassed in the first 2 rounds?
- Frank Who? Oh you mean the guy with the 13 year old girl’s braces. No comment.
Fuck those clowns who said you were gassed! Great third round as Mike must have steal in his jaw!
- The bottom line is that I did gas a little bit, mentally I was ready for the fight will to fight a long time ago on the streets and I think that some of that mentality may have led me to have some overconfidence in my cardio going into that fight. There are a lot of armchair wanna be fighters out there sitting in front of their computer screens judging the real athletes that step inside a cage or a ring. I have one thing to tell them…try talking that shit to me face to face and we will see who gases first.
Pretty good fight back Kevin! I know you haven't fought in what seems like forever so the rust was expected and I’m sure it was a sick ride being in the cage for the first time in for like ever so I can only imagine how that feels but you still did pretty good. Especially in that 3rd round, that knockdown was crazy. At least now you got a feel for the cage again and I definitely would pick you in a rematch to crush Mike. Can't wait to see you back in the cage again and get back to become a huge threat!
So are you helping Coleman with Tito? Because I think if anybody could help him the best it's you since you’re a way better wrestler then Tito. He did great in upsetting Bonnar, how do you see and like him matched up with Tito? Think he can pull it off again?
- I appreciate your comments on my wrestling and sorry it took me a while to get to this answer. Now Tito is facing Griffin this Saturday and Mark has a new opponent for early next year but yeah I would have been helping him train for Ortiz.
As far as my fight against Mike Whitehead goes, I think I finally turned the corner in the fight late in the second round and then yes that knockdown I got in the third round should have enabled me to finish the fight. But things don't always go as planned especially in mixed martial arts when you are fighting for a big promotion and facing top competition. It's a fight and if you don't go in there 100% prepared physically and mentally than the odds are you're not going to be able to finish your opponent. Do I agree with the judge's decision? Maybe but I definitely had opportunities late in the fight that I did not capitalize on.
GREAT FIGHT AGAINST NEDKOV!
- Thanks but I feel I could have done better and I believe I won that fight but that’s what happens when you let judges decide your fate.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF COUTURE FACING COLEMAN? THX
- I definitely know what Mark needs to do now…he needs to get on a bike right now and start training his cardio for this fight. Mark has every fighting attribute that Randy has but he needs to improve his cardio. If his cardio is there, this is going to be a great 15 minute battle. I am looking forward to seeing this fight. Mark is just like me in the sense that even though he was training at Xtreme Couture’s in Vegas, he doesn’t give a shit who he is fighting. Its all about making the payday and I would expect Mark to return to Vegas to train for this fight.
I have an interview with Punchdrunkgamer coming later this week with information coming on my next fight, so stay on the lookout!
To the people out there that don't know what I am about, keep watching because you are going to enjoy this story. You are going to see where I came from and what makes me the fighter and man that I am today. My fans should expect nothing less than 100% from me during my fights and so far I have yet to hit that plateau, so the road is long and hard and only beginning. All of my fans who have remained faithful in me continue to do so and I will give you a reason to cheer soon!
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?
Kevin
