Also at GDC, details that have been floating for some months about the DS2 finally came to light. A new-and-improved two-screen display will be one of its staples, each screen larger, with higher resolution than its older brother. Moreover, the screens will have a smaller gap between them, suggesting that they might be snapped together on the console to form a continuous larger screen. Since the development kit for the DS2 is supposedly comparable in power to the GameCube, it seems likely that the visuals of the new console might match the GameCube's, or even come close to scraping that of the Wii. Though these rumors are unsubstantiated as of yet, the product's imminent debut (supposedly at E3 later this year) will put an end to any guessing.
