M-1 Global’s Battle on the Neva River IV, featuring bouts with the fighters from Russia’s first taste of MMA reality television, M-1 Fighter, waged war in St. Petersburg, Russia on the Mytninskaya embankment next to the sailing vessel "Flying Dutchman" on Thursday August 19. The winners continue to prove why they are considered the ‘next generation’ of superstars.
“This was a full card of exciting fights and M-1 has received high praise for our inaugural venture into mixed martial arts reality television with M-1 Fighter,” says M-1 Global’s Director of Operations, Evgeni Kogan. “The Battle on the Neva River is only one platform where our fighters are establishing a name for themselves. The Americas Selection Tournament Finals take place September 18th and then we continue with more events as we prepare for 2011. The future is bright for M-1 Global.”
