WCO card: 01/12/08

Postby NWOWolfpack » Fri Jan 04, 2008 10:10 pm

Full WCO card:
January 12th in San Diego:

Renato Sobral vs. Vernon White
Two UFC vets clash in a battle for the WCO Light Heavyweight Championship.

Mark Kerr vs. Rick Roufus
Former UFC and Abu Dhabi Superfight Champion Kerr faces K-1 star but MMA rookie Roufus. Is the “Smashing Machine” over the move of the same name?

Jimmy Ambriz vs. Wesley Correira
former KOTC Champion Ambriz takes on questionably conditioned UFC vet “Cabbage”.

Joe Riggs vs. Gustavo Machado
UFC vet and former WEC Champion Riggs takes on Gracie Barra’s “Ximu”, the man who beat Nate Quarry in KOTC.

Virgil Zwicker vs. David Mejia

Two local fighters go head to head for the WCO North American Heavyweight Championship.

David Loiseau vs. Leopoldo Serao
UFC vet and former TKO Champion “The Crow” comes back after loss to Joey Villasenor to face up-and-comer.

Tiki Ghosn vs. JJ Ambrose
UFC vet Ghosn shows how stacked this card is by appearing this far down.

Undercard:
Fabio Costa vs. Carlos Fuentes
Georgi Karakahyan vs. Armando Sanchez
Tony Sylvestor vs. Cain Velasquez
Megan Gangitano vs. TBA

8) looks a decent card for $4 event online!!
What do you expect? The comedian is dead.

http://www.WrestlingObserver.com:

Rick Roufas wasn't cleared in time by the California State Athletic Commission, so his MMA match against Mark Kerr scheduled for Saturday night at the WCO/Valor Fighting show at the San Diego Sports Arena is off. Hawaiian fighter Kupihea [will now] face Kerr.

CSAC hasn't had a good last 12 months..........

I'm surprised at the name value they have on the card. Hopefully Kerr can win :/
