NEW PUNISHMENT ATHLETICS® SPORTSWEAR COLLECTION FROM MIXED MARTIAL ARTS CHAMP TITO ORTIZ TO BE INTRODUCED AT ASR TRADE SHOW IN SAN DIEGO ON JAN. 24-26
LOS ANGELES --- (January 16, 2008) – The latest styles from Punishment Athletics®, the sportswear company owned by mixed martial arts champ Tito Ortiz, will be introduced at the Action Sports Retailer Expo (ASR) in San Diego on Jan 24-26.
The Expo takes place at the San Diego Convention Center (111 West Harbor Drive/619-525-5000) and Punishment Athletics will be located at booth #2639. For over 26 years the ASR event has united the action sports and lifestyle markets, welcoming top retailers from surf, skate, snow and swim shops as well as worldwide fashion boutiques, stores and distributors.
Punishment Athletics offers the highest quality apparel in an array of athletic wear, casual styles and accessories for men, women and children. Its newest offerings reflect the latest trends in sportswear and feature hip new designs modeled by Tito Ortiz (from left to right)—
1. “The Core” is a long sleeved, slim fit T-shirt which shows off a design of a large and powerful rib cage in black with a red fist punching through and the Punishment name blazing across the top.
2. “The Imperial” is a sophisticated black long sleeved slim fit T with a large medal- inspired graphic design centered around the Punishment fist. A gold accent is threaded through the word Punishment written on top and HB on the bottom of the design. Tito’s nickname is the “Huntington Beach” Bad Boy.
3. “The Stencil Hoodie” is a black pullover with a “we mean business” fist framed on the front and Punishment written in a stencil style on the hood.
4. “The Tri-Skull Zip” is a thermal zip up hoodie with front and back designs featuring three skulls, the signature fist and Punishment written on top.
Tito Ortiz is a former Ultimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight champ and is admired as a colorful showman, a talented athlete and a supporter of our troops. He recently returned from a second tour visiting U.S. troops in the Persian Gulf. Current projects include growing his business, keeping fit for upcoming fights and finishing his autobiography for Simon & Schuster.
He has been profiled in The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times along with numerous other news and sports news outlets.
