On February 16, 2007, street fighting legends Kimbo Slice and David Tank Abbott will square off on the University of Miami campus for ultimate street credibility. Below are select excerpts from a Showtime media conference call that included EliteXC promoter Gary Shaw as well as the participants, Kimbo Slice and Tank Abbott.
Gary Shaw: It’s my pleasure at this time to introduce not only the youtube Internet sensation but a guy who went from the streets to EliteXC. Kimbo Slice.
Kimbo Slice: What’s up?
Gary Shaw: Go ahead and tell them whatever you want. Is that it?
Kimbo Slice: That’s it!
Tank Abbott: I’ll tell you what’s up. Kimbo is gonna end up on his back. This fight is going to last about as long as his interview. Him saying, “what’s up?” is about as long as it will take him to end up on his back.
Kimbo Slice: So did you have a six pack or a twelve pack right before you said something?
Tanks Abbott: I don’t drink beer. I can afford vodka.
