Artemij Sitenkov is a professional mixed martial artist who has competed in organizations such as Cage Contender, Almogavers, Ultimate Conflict, Fight 4 Life, Bushido Challenge, Fury, Eurofight Xtreme Fighting Championship, Superior Challenge, Strabane Fight Team, Bushido Lithuania, Cage of Truth, K-1 Hero's, Fight Festival, and Shooto Europe. At the time of this short interview, his next scheduled match is against Neil Seery in Cage Warriors Fighting Championship at CWFC 46 on February 23rd, 2012.

Darrick: How did you end up competing professionally in mixed martial arts?

Artemij: I think it is just my way of life. I started doing martial arts at the age of seven years old. I always wanted to do something a little bit more "hardcore" and MMA is the sport which gives me most satisfaction as far as that goes.

Darrick: Who is someone that greatly influenced you while growing up?

Artemij: My Judo coach Stasys Bazys has been highly influential to me.

Darrick: Any words of advice for other individuals looking to compete in MMA?

Artemij: Keep following your dreams.

Darrick: Your next scheduled match is against Neil Seery on February 23rd. What are your thoughts about this upcoming fight?

Artemij: This will be my first fight in the flyweight division. I'm actually thinking more about cutting weight, not so much about the fight.

Darrick: What brings you the most fulfillment out of martial arts?

Artemij: The most fulfilling aspect for me is traveling.

Darrick: Who are a few of the people in the sport that you highly respect?

Artemij: I respect everybody who is doing mixed martial arts, especially my opponents. I can't currently name any people in particular except my manager. We are close friends and he has done a lot for me.

Darrick: Outside of MMA, what are your other interests?

Artemij: Small business, reading, girls, and traveling.

Darrick: What is your oldest memory?

Artemij: That's a very personal question. I'm too lazy to remember at the moment. (Smiles)

Darrick: Tell us something about you that most people don't know.

Artemij: I like milk chocolate with hazel nuts.

Darrick: If you were the last person alive on Earth, what do you think you'd do to entertain yourself?

Artemij: If that were the case, there would be no point in existence.
