Benson Henderson def. Frankie Edgar via Decision - Unanimous (49-46, 48-47, 49-46)

- In another classic lightweight fight involving Frankie Edgar, Henderson and Edgar fought an instant classic but in the second round a big upkick by Henderson changed the tide of the fight and although Edgar was able to fight on, Henderson controlled most of the damage the rest of the fight.



Ryan Bader def. Quinton Jackson via Decision - Unanimous (30-27 all judges)

- There was definitely some exciting moments from Rampage (Slammed Bader on his head) but overall Bader controlled the majority of the fight with takedowns and smothering the former champion to take the decision.


Mark Hunt def. Cheick Kongo via TKO (Strikes) Round 1 (2:11)

- All stand-up here folks and as Mark Miller predicted Hunt got the TKO after a couple of right-hand bombs.


Jake Shields def. Yoshihiro Akiyama via Decision - Unanimous (30-27 all judges)

- A very close fight that saw great takedown defense and judo throws by Sexyama in the first two rounds and a definite improvement of Shields striking. Shields finally got Akiyama's back in round three but time ran out. Fight was a lot closer than 30-27.


Tim Boetsch def. Yushin Okami via KO (Strikes) Round 3 (0:54)

- After getting battered, bloodied and beaten for the first two rounds, Boetsch came out like the 'Barbarian' in round three and knocked out Okami.


Hatsu Hioki def. Bart Palaszewski via Decision - Unanimous (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)

- Hioki came out on fire and nearly submitted Palaszewski a couple of times in round 1. Palaszewski came back in round two but Hioki controlled round 3 much the same as he did the opening frame and took the easy decision win.


Anthony Pettis def. Joe Lauzon via KO (LHK) Round 1 (1:21)

- Pettis rocked Lauzon with LHK knocking him out cold very early in the fight.



Preliminary Bouts (FX):

Takanori Gomi def. Eiji Mitsuoka via TKO (Strikes) Round 2 (2:21)

- Gomi was nearly knocked out and choked out in round 1 but he came out firing in the second and finished the fight with GnP.


Vaughan Lee def. Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto via Submission (Armbar) Round 1 (4:29)

- After surviving the early onslaught of "Kid", Lee caught him in a triangle and switched it to an armbar forcing Yamamoto to tap.


Riki Fukuda def. Steve Cantwell via Decision - Unanimous (29-28, 30-27, 30-27)

- After a very close first round, Fukuda spent the next two rounds peppering Cantwell with punches and leg kicks to easily win the decision.


Chris Cariaso def. Takeya Mizugaki via Decision - Unanimous (29-28 all judges)

- Mizugaki was able to control the fight with takedowns and ground control but apparently the judges thought the striking advantage went to Cariaso. Bad Decision.



Preliminary Bout (UFC Facebook):

Issei Tamura def. Tiequan Zhang via KO (Strikes) Round 2 (0:32)

- Tamura landed a huge right that floored the Mongolian and Zhang was out cold.
