Sticking with the all-heavyweight theme for the UFC 146 main card, however, Del Rosario wasn’t left out in the cold. The UFC late Monday night announced that Stipe Miocic, the only one of these players not already on the card, would step in to make Del Rosario’s fight whole once again.

Del Rosario (11-0) will finally make his Octagon debut at UFC 146, coming off of a victory over Lavar Johnson, more than a year ago, under the Strikeforce banner.

Miocic, however, is also undefeated at 8-0. He already has two UFC fights under his belt with wins over Joey Beltran and Phil De Fries.

Still gonna be a sick card.

Originally set to face Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva on the card in May, Nelson lost that opponent when main event fighter Alistair Overeem was pulled from the show and reshuffling took place.

In his place, Gabriel Gonzaga stepped in to face Nelson. Well, now Gonzaga is also out due to injury, so in steps former Sengoku fighter Dave Herman, who faces Nelson at UFC 146.

UFC officials announced the switch on Tuesday night. http://www.mmaweekly.com/gabriel-gonzag ... at-ufc-146

The UFC 146 heavyweight bout between Stefan Struve and Mark Hunt -- which had been the only main card fight untouched by the shakeups caused by Alistair Overeem's withdrawal from the event -- has now gone the way of the others with Mark Hunt suffering an injury just nine days out. Stepping in to his spot to fight "The Skyscraper" is Lavar "Big" Johnson, who's coming off of two knockout of the night performances in 2012.

“I heard last night there was a chance I could get this fight and I accepted right away," said Johnson. "You don’t get chances like this too much in life, so when you are lucky, you make the most of it. I took one week off after last fight [May 5] and then went back to the gym."
