ROAD FC: Korea 2 'Korea vs. Japan' Set for March 9 in Seoul
In South Korea, the most exciting MMA action can only be found at ROAD Fighting Championship. The next epic event will be ROAD FC - KOREA 002 "KOREA VS JAPAN" which takes place on Sunday, 9 March, 2014 at the Grand Hilton Convention Centre in Seoul. At ROAD FC - KOREA 002, Nations Fight! "KOREA VS JAPAN" will introduce more foreign fighters to ROAD FC and Korea. The first two exciting match ups with Japanese fighters announced will be representatives from Pancrase: Kosuke Terashima versus Lee Yoon-Jun, and Kenta Takagi versus Cha Jung-Hwan.
In the first bout announced, Lee Yoon-Jun will welcome Pancrase fighter Kosuke Terashima to the ROAD FC cage at bantamweight. Lee has experience with Japanese fighters, having faced and defeated both Otsuka Takafumi and Kamaya Mokoto in 2013. He is a very well-rounded and technical young fighter from Team ONE at the ROAD FC Official Gym. Lee is becoming one of the most respected fighters in the ROAD FC bantamweight and featherweight divisions.
Kosuke "Coro" Terashima is a Pancrase mainstay fighter. He is a grappler from the very respected Wajutsu Keishukai gym in Japan who has made the transition to fighting in a cage at Pancrase Bayside Fight events. Terashima knocked out his last opponent to prove he has power standing as well as on the ground. This will be a thrilling match between two talented young fighters who want to make their mark in ROAD FC.
In the second bout announced, Cha "Stonecutter" Jung-Hwan will meet Kenta Takagi at welterweight. At ROAD FC 014, Cha's student Choi Mu-Gyeom became the first ROAD FC World Featherweight Champion with a strong display of grappling and striking. Cha has faced two famous opponents, Andrews Nakahara and Luis Ramos, in his last two incredible fights that the judges thought too close and scored as Draws. Cha is extremely hungry to prove he is one of the best welterweights of the world with a win.
Kenta Takagi is an extremely experienced Pancrase fighter who has also fought in Sengoku, Cage Force, and Shooto. He is known for being a very tough striker with 9 KOs to his credit, and he has rarely been finished. Takagi also made the transition to the cage in Pancrase's Bayside Fights, so he will be ready to face Cha in what will be an explosive and powerful match in the very competitive ROAD FC welterweight division.

ROAD FC Welcomes Pancrase Fighters at ROAD FC: Korea 2
ROAD Fighting Championship will host the third epic MMA event of 2014 on 9 March! ROAD FC - KOREA 002 "KOREA VS JAPAN" will take place at the Grand Hilton Convention Centre in Seoul, South Korea. Representatives from Japan's historic 20-year old MMA promotion PANCRASE will be welcomed to South Korea to take on ROAD FC fighters in heart-pounding competition. Among the participants from this cross-cultural exchange, Kosuke Terashima will face Lee Yoon-Jun in the Main Event, Ben Buchan meets Lee Hyung-Seok, and Ryo Takagi will match Han Yi-Moon.
In the Main Event, Lee Yoon-Jun will welcome PANCRASE fighter Kosuke "Coro" Terashima to the ROAD FC cage at bantamweight. Lee faced and defeated strong Japanese fighters Otsuka Takafumi and Kamaya Makoto in 2013 and became a Korean sensation. He is prepared to take on another strong opponent, and this time it will be highly dangerous grappler "Coro". The PANCRASE fighter knocked out his last opponent, so he will be a threat to Lee in all areas of the game. This will be a thrilling match between two highly-talented young MMA fighters.
In a lightweight match, Lee Hyung-Seok will welcome PANCRASE fighter Ben Buchan to the ROAD FC cage. Lee is a young but seasoned MMA fighter who put on an impressive performance at ROAD FC 014 which proved he is evolving into a well-rounded fighter. Submissions are still his strong suit, which will also suit his PANCRASE opponent. Buchan, a Briton fighting alongside championship contenders at the famous Tsudanuma Dojo, has already faced stiff competition in his short MMA career. This will be his first international fight, and he will bring all his skills into the cage against Lee.
At bantamweight, Han Yi-Moon will welcome PANCRASE fighter Ryo "AKB" Takagi to ROAD FC - KOREA. Han is the Season 2 winner of South Korea's MMA reality television show "Crying Fist". At only 20 years old, Han represents the new wave of strong Korean fighters developing in ROAD FC. He is tough, powerful, and riding a 4-fight win streak. Han will need every bit of his training when he takes on Takagi, who at just 22-years old, has never been finished in any fight. Takagi is just as fierce and hungry as Han, which will make this match up one of the most exciting on the card.
In a women's catchweight bout, Kim Ji-Yeon welcomes Takayo Hashi to South Korea at 58 kg. Kim is a new fighter out of Impact Gym. She made her debut in Japan at DEEP Cage Impact in 2013, and took top fighter "Sugi Rock" Sugiyama to a Draw. When she faces her next opponent, it will be youth versus experience yet again, and her second Japanese in a row. Hashi was the final Middleweight Champion of Japan's all-female Smackgirl promotion. She has competed internationally against the toughest opponents in her division for several titles, including Strikeforce. The rare female bouts at ROAD FC are always extraordinary.
In the opening fight of the Main Card, two top Korean Teams will go head-to-head as Team Posse's Brian Choi faces Team MAD's Heo Yoon. Both fighters have similar stories, since they began their MMA careers overseas then returned to Korea to focus on building their MMA careers. These two exciting fighters are guaranteed to kick off ROAD FC - KOREA 002 with fireworks.
Cha Jung-Hwan was scheduled to fight Kenta Takagi on this event. Unfortunately, Cha sustained a hand injury in training so the mach has been cancelled.
