ZAGREB, February 13, 2008 - Former PRIDE Open Weight Grand Prix Champion Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic has made a long awaited official announcement.

"I'm off to Tokyo" Cro Cop has proclaimed, followed by the announcement on his blog (http://www.mma-id.com/CROCOP):
"A big announcement will come straight from Japan tomorrow (February 13).
When the official part is done I'll be able to provide more information about everything, and believe me, I have many things to say.
What you could easily guess by now is that I won't be retiring.
I'll keep on fighting, it's my life, it's what I do."

On Friday, February 15, Cro Cop will post an announcement about his future in mixed martial arts at his MMA-ID blog:

He can't hack it in the UFC.......I have been a CC fan as long as I remember and I never thought I would see the day he ran away from a challenge. Very Disappointing if the announcment is that he's gone!!!

I don't see it as "can't hack it", I think alot of the guys that are very strong willed (Randy, Fedor, Cro Cop, Barnet ect.) all have a problem with how Dana does things. From what I'm hearing, Dana said "take a pay cut or your not fighting", to which Cro Cop may or may not have told him to `shove it` lol.
Get knocked down 7 times, get up 8.

Pay Cut?
Does he really think he deserves that kind of $$ with his performances so far?
