Several Fighters joined UFC president Dana White for the Fight Night London post-fight press conference: Luke Barnatt, Cyrille Diabate, Alexander Gustafsson, Brad Pickett, Michael Johnson, Gunnar Nelson, Ilir Latifi, Jimi Manuwa
To open the press conference, White announced the success of the second UFC card solely available on Fight Pass. The event, which sold out in 36 hours, was seen in 176 countries and reached 194 million households in Europe.
White continued the positive tone by announcing the post-fight awards soon after. Gustafsson and opponent Jimi Manuwa were awarded Fight of the Night, with "The Mauler" also taking home Performance of the Night for finishing the fight by knockout.
Welterweight Gunnar Nelson was also awarded Performance of the Night for his 24-second submission of UFC newcomer Omari Akhmedov. Nelson, who improved to 12-0, has won six of his last seven fights by submission.
Martial arts veteran Diabate fielded questions after announcing his retirement following a 20-plus year fight career. The crowd of journalists erupted in applause for the former PRIDE competitor, who stated that he still had things to accomplish outside of the Octagon.
All bonused fighters were awarded $50,000.
