Anthony Johnson vs. Rogerio Nogueira is set for July 26 in San Jose.
A collision of world-class light heavyweights is on its way to San Jose, as the next UFC on FOX card on July 26 will see Anthony "Rumble" Johnson look to extend his seven-fight winning streak against veteran contender Rogerio Nogueira. After a two-year absence and a change of weight classes, Johnson made a spectacular return at UFC 172 last month, scoring a dominant three-round unanimous decision over Phil Davis. And while Nogueira battled injuries over the last year, when he steps back into the Octagon this summer, he will do so having defeated former 205-pound champs Rashad Evans and Tito Ortiz in his last two bouts.

Re: UFC on FOX 12 - Fight Card Updates
An intriguing featherweight matchup is added to July's UFC on FOX card.
Rising featherweight star Dennis Bermudez will look to secure a seventh consecutive victory on July 26, as he takes on veteran contender Clay Guida in UFC on FOX action in San Jose. New York's Bermudez has picked up three post-fight bonuses over the course of his two-year streak, most recently stopping Jimy Hettes in the third round at UFC 171 in March. Guida, the longtime lightweight contender who has now won two of three bouts at 145 pounds, is fresh from a Fight of the Night win over Tatsuya Kawajiri in April.

Re: UFC on FOX 12 - Fight Card Updates
Coming off one of the most memorable performances in recent UFC history, Matt "The Immortal" Brown was looking to step up to the next level of competition after knocking off Erick Silva at Fight Night Cincinnati. The Ohio native got his wish in a big way Tuesday afternoon.
UFC President Dana White announced on Twitter that Brown is set to face No. 1-ranked Robbie Lawler on July 26 in the main event of UFC on Fox in San Jose, Calif. Lawler is set to appear in the Octagon for the third time in just over four months when he battles Brown. Lawler is 4-1 in his last five fights and is coming off another impressive performance at UFC 173 when he TKO'd Jake Ellenberger in the third round.
Lawler's only loss in that span was a razor close decision in the UFC welterweight title fight against Johny Hendricks at UFC 171. Dana White also confirmed that the winner of Brown-Lawler will be the official No. 1 contender and get first crack at Hendricks for the 170-pound title. Brown is on a remarkable seven-fight win streak, six of which have come by knockout or TKO.

Re: UFC on FOX 12 - Fight Card Updates
UFC returns to SAP Center at San Jose with a title elimination match pitting two knockout artists against one another as No. 1-ranked Robbie Lawler will take on No. 5-ranked Matt Brown with the winner earning a shot at champion Johny Hendricks. Additionally, the card will feature several Bay Area-based fighters in Josh Thomson, Noad Lahat and Kyle Kingsbury.
Coming off an impressive third-round finish over an always game Jake Ellenberger, Lawler (23-10, 1 NC, fighting out of Coconut Creek, Fla.) will take on the surging Brown (21-11, fighting out of Columbus, Ohio) in hopes of securing a second crack at UFC gold. Brown, who has put together one of the most impressive runs in mixed martial arts today, currently rides a seven-fight win streak, and will be looking to lock down a title shot he feels is long overdue. On July 26 at SAP Center, two of the best welterweights in the world will put it all on the line in a battle for the top contender position.
In addition, light heavyweight (No. 5) Anthony Johnson (17-4, fighting out of Boca Raton, Fla.) is back in the Octagon after an impressive decision victory over Phil Davis in his return to the UFC earlier this year. The hard-hitting “Rumble” will take on Brazilian star Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (21-5, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) as he primes himself for title contention. “Lil Nog” makes his return to the cage for the first time since defeating former champion Rashad Evans, and the two-time Brazilian boxing champion plans to tack another win on to his already stellar MMA career.
Also, fresh off a controversial loss to former lightweight champion Benson Henderson, San Jose native (No. 3) Thomson (22-6, 1 NC, fighting out of San Jose, Calif.) will look to put on a show in front of his hometown fans as he meets former The Ultimate Fighter finalist (No. 10) Michael Johnson (16-8, fighting out of Boca Raton, Fla.). “The Menace,” who is riding a three-fight win streak, will look to climb the ladder in the talent-rich lightweight division with a victory over the former STRIKEFORCE lightweight champion.
Also scheduled for the event:
*No.7-ranked featherweight Clay Guida (31-11) vs. four-time “Fight Night” bonus winner and eleventh-ranked Dennis Bermudez (14-3).
*Second degree taekwondo black belt Daron Cruickshank (15-4) vs. 14th-ranked Jorge Masvidal (26-8) at lightweight.
*Welterweight Tim Means (20-6-1) vs. Rio de Janeiro’s Hernani Perpetuo (17-4, 1 NC).
*Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Noad Lahat (7-1) vs. California native and fellow submission ace Steven Siler (23-12).
*San Jose native Kyle Kingsbury (11-5, 1 NC) returns to action in the light heavyweight division.

Re: UFC on FOX 12 - Fight Card Updates
Fresh from his second round stoppage of Roger Narvaez last Saturday in Albuquerque, light heavyweight prospect Patrick Cummins will jump right into the fray again on July 26 when he welcomes Kyle Kingsbury back to the Octagon in a UFC on FOX 12 bout in San Jose. Cummins will be competing in his third bout of 2014, an amazing feat considering that he was only able to fight four times in the first three years of his pro career. The Ultimate Fighter 8's Kingsbury, 4-4 in the UFC, will be making his first start since a September 2012 loss to Jimi Manuwa.
