Apparently Kongo is trying to say PDG lied about his comment on CroCop:
I was informed over the weekend by my press attaché in Paris for a serious controversy about me, prompted by statements issued in my name on the Internet.
To put an end to this controversy, I want to formally deny having made any statement whatsoever to the disadvantage of Mirko Cro Cop in reaction to his departure from the UFC:
I never made the reported by the website "http://www.punchdrunkgamer.com/" which I granted an interview in January 2008 via my Myspace and with whom I good reports, which I also renew my confidence.
Even though I have never hidden my positions on doping and the need for strict controls and stringent sanctions within organizations of MMA, my judgement was still only focused on practices that harm the image of the discipline that I support and that I have always strongly condemned.
I never publicly made such accusations against anyone and that even fewer fighters like Mirko Cro Cop for whom I have always displayed a genuine respect as a sportsman, and especially when my interviews.
After my victory at the UFC 75, I drew the wrath of some Internet users among its supporters, to the point of me making my Myspace hack by a fan in fury. In all likelihood, and according to the latest information that we just me, it appears that a hacker has managed a second time to enter my personal space and will be "amused" to lend me as false statements qu'infondés in this way and thus jeopardize my moral integrity, what I can not tolerate.
Anyway, while I am in Las Vegas, waiting for my fight against Heath Herring for the UFC 82 this March 01, I hope to be able to complete my preparation in the best possible conditions, far rumors and other sterile polemics which seem to enjoy my detractors.
I take this opportunity to thank my family, my friends and my fans for their unwavering support and trust me they testify as an attempt to besmirch my reputation and my honor. I am first and foremost an athlete french committed to the values of Martial Arts and proud to be part of the UFC. Today on the way to the belt, in the Octagon, in the ring, for the struggle and victory that I intend to win and force compliance ... Not otherwise.
Thanks.
Cheick Kongo
