Official: Tim Sylvia gone from UFC!!

On tonight's "INSIDE MMA" on HDNet, Monte Cox and Tim Sylvia were guests and it was announced that the UFC had released Tim from his contract and that he has signed a NON-exclusive contract with Cox's new promotion "Adrenaline MMA".

Also, Cox announced the signing of former IFL HW Star Ben Rothwell!!

Non exclusive? That makes the decision by big Timmy a smart one. Good for him.

Hopefully he takes advantage of the non-exclusivity though. I'd really have loved to see him rematch Nog and Mir, and also fight Werdum.

Hopefully now he'll fight Fedor, Mirko, Overeem, Barnett, and/or Kharitonov.

i know you feel strongly big tim has improved, and i want to say first... i'm not disagreeing.

but i think he'll stay away from fedor and barnett for sure, and may fight a couple of top guys, but will mostly stick to guys he knows he can beat.

BT seems to desire position in MMA more than the challenge of fighting the best in the sport, or doing the best job he can.



who knows, that could change too...
& i'd really like to see fedor v sylvia
