LIVE PBP:
Matt Serra vs. Georges St-Pierre via TKO-Strikes Round 2 (4:45)
***It goes without saying but this crowd hates Serra! I am almost surprised he wasn't jumped on his way to the ring! HAHAHA!
*Serra comes to ring with some Rocky rap music and a shirt saying GUNSAMERICA.COM!
-Round 1:
GSP quick takedown, in half guard, GSP with a some gnp. Serra holding tight, some more elbows fro GSP, Serra puts him in full guard now. Exchanging elbows on the ground and GSP lands 2 in a row, crowd going GSP crazy. GSP passes guard and starts unloading, going now for back control. Serra escapes and they are standing now, GSP superman punch, low kick and then a takedown. GSP ends the round with more strikes.
-Round 2:
GSP with another takedown, against the cage and Serra is able to get back up and avoid another takedown. Serra with a high head kick, GSP responds with jabs and then a double leg takedown. Side control now for GSP, Serra flip and now pulls full guard. GSP with more gnp, back to back side control and GSP throwing kness into Serra's side. In side control now, GSP continues with the knees and hammer punches. Serra on all fours and GSP unloading knees to his side and the ref jumps in and stops it.
Rich Franklin vs. Travis Lutter via TKO-Strikes Round 2 (3:01)
-Round 1:
Lutter goes for the single leg and eats a knee from Franklin, clinch against the cage. Lutter takes him down and has back control, now to side control. Looking for the mount and Franklin pulls him into full guard, full mount now for Lutter. GNP, gets the armbar and Franklin escapes, back on their feet now. Lutter shoots single again and is eating some punches from Franklin, round comes to an end with a clinch against the fence.
-Round 2:
Franklin opens with strikes and Lutter fails takedown attempt, Franklin lands a head kick. Lutter goes down and Franklin lands some gnp. Lutter recovers and gets back up just in time to get some knees in the clinch. Franklin lands some more strikes and Lutter goes for another single leg, he looks gassed! Franklin unloading and Lutter is done and the ref steps in and calls it.
Nate Quarry vs. Kalib Starnes (swing bout) via unanimous Decision.
-Round 1:
Quarry comes out stalking Starnes and lands some low kicks, now some strikes and Starnes is running away. Quarry trying to unload on Starnes, lands some more low and inside leg kicks. Crowd booing a little since hometown Starnes keeps running. Quarry lands an elbow and a right, and then a combo against the cage with strikes and leg kicks. The round ends with Quarry landing more strikes.
-Round 2:
Quarry begins the round with more low kicks and strikes. Starnes not doing much but eating kicks and jabs, backpeddling a little slower now. Quarry with a few more leg kicks, Starnes leg must hurt by now. Starnes finally catches one of the kicks and puts Quarry down but he jumps right back up. Some more of the same, leg kicks, Starnes fails on takedown attempt.
-Round 3:
Quarry again with low kicks and jabs, Starnes not doing much. Quarry putting on a leg kick clinic, not much else happening. WOW glad they had this match-up on the main card. Quarry has looked real good and Starnes now has a limp. Quarry finishes with a fury and makes fun of Starnes running away.
*Starnes and his corner are complaining about Quarry's antics and Starnes tells someone in the crowd they are are a #*&$@*. HAHAHA, the Canadian crowd is booing Starnes and cheering Quarry. One of the scores was 30-24.
Michael Bisping vs. Charles McCarthy via TKO-McCarthy could not continue after Round 1.
-Round 1:
Both fighters exchanging strikes in the center of of the cage. Bisping put McCarthy against the cage and lands a knee aseveral punches. McCarthy taunts hims, Bisping responds with a knee and an upper-cut. McCarthy with a double-leg slam, works from side control. McCarthy trying for an armlock from back control, Bisping escapes and both are back up. Bisping landing some jabs, uppercuts and knees. McCarthy goes down and Bisping finishes the round with alot of strikes. WAIT, McCarthy quits with a forearm injury from trying to block the knees in the clinch.
Mac Danzig vs. Mark Bocek via Submission-RNC Round 3 (3:48)
-Round 1:
Both fighters in the middle, throwing some feeler strikes. Bocek goes for the single leg and Danzig counters, Bocek keeps fighting and gets the double leg takedown and lands some gnp. Dnazig switches and goes for omaplata and Bocek escapes and lands some more gnp. On the feet against the cage and Bocek gets another takedown and works from the guard. Danzig escapes and they clinch against the cage. Danzig with the takedown and he lands some gnp. From the guard, some more strikes from Danzig and the round ends.
-Round 2:
Danzig comes out and lands a big right knee to Bocek's chin, he goes down. Danzig gets on top and is in side control throwing elbows. North-south position now and both stand-up against the cage and another knee by Danzig. Back down on the mat and Danzig is in full mount. From the back throwing strikes down on Bocek. Danzig still on Bocek's back and decides to let him up. Bocek comes back with several combos and goes for another single leg. Danzig reverses and is landing more gnp.
-Round 3:
Bocek comes out with some combos and another single leg attempt, he gets it and works from the guard. Danzig punishing Bocek from the bottom with elbows. Back to their feet against the cage again and Danzig lands 2 knees and a head kick. Bocek bleeding bad and there is a ref stoppage. A third head growing from under Bocek's left eye and the fight restarts, Danzig landing more jabs, sweeps the leg and gets the back mount. Danzig chokes him out with a RNC.
**Sold out arena with more than 21,000 in attendance.
*Florian making his announcing debut! Not bad so far.
