The Gathering Tempest introduces a new zone, a live event, and more.

June 17, 2008 - Sony Online Entertainment has released the Gathering Tempest, the 46th update to EverQuest II. The Gathering Tempest will introduce a new zone, new content, and a new live event called The Void Storms Part 1: The Invasion for the popular MMORPG.
The Invasion begins mid-July and allows gamers to explore the mysteries behind wild energy storms appearing throughout Norrath. Players of all levels can join the event, and everyone has a chance at getting a reward. Those who enjoy live scheduled events can expect to see more in the future.
Gamers who want something more long term in EverQuest II will get to explore the new Heroic Runnyeye Zone, a new area that introduces unique loot and adventures.
