In CBS’S main event on July 26, Robbie Lawler (15-1, 1 NC) will defend his EliteXC middleweight championship belt against Scott Smith (13-4, 1 NC) in an eagerly awaited rematch of their controversial first fight in May which ended in a No Contest.

A winner of nine straight, Jake Shields (20-4-1) and Nick (“The Goat) Thompson (36-9-1) of Minneapolis, who has won 12 in a row and 21 of 22, will collide for the vacant EliteXC 170-pound belt in the evening’s second world title fight on July 26.

With a likely grudge rematch with EliteXC lightweight champ KJ Noons looming, Nick Diaz will square off against Thomas “Wildman’’ Denny (26-16) of Victorville, Calif., in a three-round, five-minute scrap.
Tickets start at $35 and can be purchased at the Stockton Arena Box Office (Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.) and Saturday (noon-4 p.m.), by phone at (209) 373-1700 and (866) 373-7088 (toll free) or online at http://www.stocktontickets.com.

The event is presented by Los Angeles-based ProElite, Inc.’s live fight division, EliteXC, Doors open at 2:30 p.m. PT. The first live fight is at 3:15.
The aforementioned matchups will be part of the CBS ELITEXC SATURDAY NIGHT FIGHTS – a four-bout, two-hour broadcast on the CBS Television Network that begins at 9 p.m. ET/PT. It will be preceded by a three-fight, one-hour telecast live on SHOWTIME (8 p.m. ET/PT). A fight featuring promising heavyweight Antonio “Big Foot” Silva (10-1) will highlight the show.
