'Psyco' Sid Vicious Returning To WWE?

'Psyco' Sid Vicious Returning To WWE?

Four-time World Heavyweight Champion Sid Vicious is telling friends that he will be returning to World Wrestling Entertainment in September.

Reader Charlynn Star sent in the following.. My friend and fellow Sid fan Joyce told me that Sid's son Gunnar Eudy told her that Sid will be back in September the WWE. She has Sid's indy wrestler Rage as a friend, Rage is a friend of Sid, and worked with him as a member of Sid's Pride of Brotherhood gang in the indy circuit. She says that Rage has also told her that he'll be returning.

Speaking of Sid, he will be appearing on Sid Vicious on the 8/24 NWA show in San Antonio at the Freeman Coliseum. In a battle of former WWE stars, Brent Albright will be defending his NWA title against Trevor Murdoch. Sean "X-Pac" Waltman, Rob Conway, Blue Demon Jr., Adam Pearce and former WWE developmental wrestler Ace Steel are also slated to appear. Also, Murdoch is now spelled "Murdock," so Trevor Murdock will be his name on the indy scene. For more information on the show, visit http://www.NWAWrestling.com.

Cops: Wrestler Ric Flair Beat Up by Daughter's Boyfriend

RALEIGH, N.C — Most of former professional wrestler Ric Flair's fights were scripted.

But Chapel Hill, N.C., police didn't find anything fake about the blood and bruises on the Nature Boy after a fight with his daughter's 22-year-old boyfriend.

Neither man was charged, but Flair's daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Fliehr, was charged for resisting police after the 22-year-old became belligerent and kicked an officer, Chapel Hill police Lt. Kevin Gunter said Tuesday.

Neighbors called police about 2:30 a.m. Friday about a fight at an apartment in the city about 30 miles northwest of Raleigh. The fight was over, but officers followed a trail of blood to Fliehr's apartment.

She told police the men had fought but it was over and things were fine. Officers found the 59-year-old Flair, whose real name is Richard Fliehr, on a bed in the back room. The boyfriend was in another part of the apartment.

Flair admitted fighting with the boyfriend but he didn't want to press charges, Gunter said. Gunter refused to give the boyfriend's name because he was not charged.

"He was kind of elusive," Gunter said of Flair. "He said everything was fine. Officers said he had a 'no problems here' kind of attitude. He just wanted everything forgotten."

Flair, known for his platinum blond hair, fur-lined robes and signature "Wooooo!" catchphrase, retired earlier this year after a 36-year career. He had wrestled for a number of big-name organizations, including World Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment.

A call to a cell number listed for Flair to obtain comment was not answered Tuesday. Officials at The Gillespie Agency, based in Columbia, S.C., said they only book Flair for appearances. His daughter did not have a listed number.

Jake 'THE SNAKE' Roberts News!

Postby Keithlewis » Wed Oct 01, 2008 10:27 pm

When the news came out about Jake "The Snake" Roberts falling off the wagon at an indy show in Cleveland on 9/19, another story came out from a promoter who ran a show the week before, on 9/12 in Martinsburg, WV. Promoter Josh Morningstar of Indy Pro Entertainment said they booked Jake for a show, picked him up at the airport and in figuring his sobriety was bull , offered him some pot to smoke. Morningstar did an interview on 101 FM in Washington DC and said Jake turned down the pot, but asked if he could get some Vodka at the local liquor store and also indicated he would be interested in some cocaine. The promoter said by the time the show started, Roberts was wasted and cut a promo where he slurred his words and made no sense. The promoter also said Roberts went up to just about every black person he could find to ask them if they could score him some cocaine after the show.

Former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley has officially signed and joined American Top Team.

Bobby started training with us a week ago and decided this is where he needed to be to take the next step in his burgeoning MMA career. Bobby comes to us with a great background in amateur wrestling where he was a mulitple NAIA National Wrestling Champion. Of course, most people know of him because of his time spent with the pro wrestling organization WWE and ECW.

Bobby is serious about the sport of MMA and will dedicate himself to being the best he possibly can.

We look forward to working with Bobby to bring out his full potential.

that will be interesting as he is a great athlete!

Sting Interview!

Postby NWOWolfpack » Wed Oct 29, 2008 9:44 pm

The UK Sun recently conducted an interview with TNA World Heavyweight Champion Sting. Below are highlights.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sp ... 866947.ece

On retiring: "I cannot go on much longer. I don’t want to embarrass myself, or embarrass Spike or embarrass TNA. We all know it’s a wave that is coming in to shore. I don’t know when exactly it will hit, but it’s gonna hit. I thought probably this year. Actually it’s over the last couple of years it seems the thought has been in-and-out, in-and-out, in-and-out these thoughts of retirement and everything else but under the circumstances I think that I want to stick it out for one last – and this is THE last – hurrah. I don’t know when it will end for sure, but as long as I stay healthy into 2009. But how far into 2009 I don’t know."

On realism behind the young vs. old storyline in TNA: "I would have probably gone into the WWE if it was about money. I came here [to TNA] very humble, believe me. But I wasn’t welcomed with big, wide open arms from everybody. I didn’t know it was going to be that way, but it was. It would surprise you if I named some of the guys that didn’t receive me that well. You’d never guess. There are a lot of the young guys that want us ‘dinosaurs’ to move out of the way, once and for all. And you know what? I can sympathise in some ways. I can. When I was a young Sting, back in the day when it was Ric Flair, Macho Man Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, Dusty Rhodes, The Four Horsemen and all those guys, I had those moments of frustration. But I still always respected what they did. So yes, there’s a lot of realism in this story."

On Vince McMahon trying to sign him: "Yes, I was really close at least three, four times over the years. A few times in the early 1990s, when I chose TNA and once at a real key moment when WCW had overtaken WWE as the No1 group in wrestling. And I was pretty much at the peak of WCW, in their peak days. I forget how many weeks in a row WCW beat them in the ratings wars but it got really bad for WWE - WWF at the time. That was a key moment, and I was really close to jumping."

On dream matches for him: "In TNA, I’d love to have a match or two with AJ. I’ve just had my first one with Joe. I think another one with Jeff Jarrett would be good. Outside of TNA, I’ve always thought Undertaker v Sting would be really something. And we just did this huge autograph session and I had so many wrestling fans come and say: “How about one more match with Ric Flair?” I think I could be 80-years-old and they’d still be saying that."
