Vyacheslav Vasilevsky vs. Vitor Nobrega added to M-1 Challenge 42


An already exciting October fight card gets even more stacked as Vyacheslav Vasilevsky (22-2) locks horns with dangerous veteran in Vitor Nobrega (13-6).

32-year old Brazilian middleweight has earned respect in both hemispheres. He had started his career in Portugal shining in numerous Portugal Vale Tudo events. Consequently Nobrega competed under the KSW banner in Poland where he first won a 4-man tournament and later defeated then up-and-coming promising prospect in Aslambek Saidov.

Fighting on home turf Nobrega competed in Bitetti Combat promotion and also conquered middleweight championship belt in Boa Vista Combat. Like his multiple fellow countrymen this outstanding Brazilian athlete got his BJJ black belt after winning several European jiu-jitsu and grappling tournaments.

Having strung together 22 victories against only two defeats (both by close decision) Vyacheslav Vasilevsky has long time ago proven to be one of the brightest middleweight prospects hailing out of Russia. At only 25 years of age he competed for M-1, Sambo 70 and Bellator. Very versatile and all-round fighter he is lethal in stand-up as well as on the ground. In fact his victories are equally split up in three regarding the number of knockouts, submissions and decisions. Upon his return to M-1 Global “Slava” was victorious against Charles Andrade who earned the spot by finishing highly touted Russians Shamil Abdulmuslimov and Abdul-Kerim Edilov within three minutes. In the context of the upcoming clash against Nobrega this experience might be extremely valuable as Andrade similarly prefers ground game before trading punches.

Slava is not the one to shy away from the confrontation on the ground although he may try to finish his foe in the stand-up like he did in his last fight against Trevor Prangley back in August.
