It looks like Marcos Maidana vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. will be taking place in Vegas on May 3rd after all.
Reports came in a little over 24 hours ago in regards to the fight being officially announced between the two. What does that mean for Maidana? It means he has a chance to upset another foe in Floyd Mayweather.
Maidana had a spectacular win over Adrien Broner (27-1) and won convincingly though he was a 5-1 under dog. Yes, for some ungodly reason, Broner was supposed to out-strike and frankly out class Maidana. But that was not the case. At all. Watch the fight. You will see how much of a one sided A## whooping Maidana gave Broner.
Where does that leave Amir Khan? Many think he will be taking on Adrien Broner and rumor has it that it might even be on the same card as the Mayweather/Maidana card.
It is shaping up to be a good one. Who do you got in this one? Me? I'm going Maidana. He's a brawler. He comes in for the kill, the only issue I see him having is Mayweather and his foot work. If Maidana can keep Mayweather from running, this fight just might be the biggest upset we've seen in a long time in boxing.
Mayweather vs. Maidana set in stone!
