Superkombat New Heroes - March 29 - 2014
Superkombat Fighting Championship has officially announced the full schedule of Superkombat New Heroes in Romania. The event takes place on the 29th of March, in Ploiesti. Same place as the Final Elimination 2013. Eight superfights are scheduled for the first event of the season, broadcasted live on Eurosport at 8:30pm CET.
The headline event will be the showdown between former cruiserweight world champion Bogdan Stoica (14-3-0) and Jorge Loren (89-12-4) from Spain. A battle for pride, as both fighters are coming after losing the same opponent, the current world champion Igor Bugaenko.
In the co-main event, the Superkombat New Heroes middleweight title it’s on the table. The champion Cedric Manhoef (37-1-1) will face the official challenger, Amansio Paraschiv (8-1-0), born and raised in Ploiesti.
Also, the WAKO lightweight world champion, Ionut “Pitbull” Atodiresei (32-7-0) will have a rematch against the Greek Stauros Exakoustidis (27-6-0), after “Nirvana” won by KO in the second round last year at Superkombat World Grand Prix held Craiova, Romania.
Superkombat Fighting Championship president Eduard Irimia announced that Superkombat New Heroes from Ploiesti will be a pilot edition that will help implement a new system for this season. “We will diversify the weight divisions for the Superkombat World Grand Prix series and we will have a four man contender tournament with the winners becoming challengers for the world title”.
With a television production level similar to that of the Superkombat World Grand Prix Final from 2013, Superkombat New Heroes will be a premiere that will also bring the concept of Red Carpet Experience, dedicated to the VIP’s who will be taking part in the event.
The fourth Superkombat season continues on the 4th of April with the selections in Middlesbrough (United Kingdom), and on the 12th of April with Superkombat World Grand Prix, where two of the superstars involved will be Raul Catinas and Catalin Morosanu.
