Superkombat New Heroes – Ploiesti: Official Results


The fourth Superkombat season started with a New Heroes event, where Cedric Manhoef successfully defended his New Heroes title at middleweight division after a majority draw decision against the local hero Amansio Paraschiv.

With two wins as background in Superkombat, Cedric, 20 years old, was pressed by Amansio, 21 years old, a former boxer, who used his skills for a massive attack since the beginning. Losing the first round, the student of Melvin Manhoef made his comeback on the judges scorecards after a knee kick knocked down Paraschiv in the end of the second round. A huge fllury from Romanian fighter started the third round, but Cedric resisted and the fight ended with a draw and that means Manhoef remains in possession of New Heroes belt won in November 2013.

WAKO amateur world champion, Miljan Vidovic of Serbia, made his debut in Superkombat Fighting Championship with an impressive win against kyokoushin multiple champion Mirel Iacob. In another super-fight, Danut Hurduc continues his road to World Grand Prix series and this time scored a TKO win against Ibo Efe (Turkey). Romanian rising star Cristian Ristea won again by a brutally KO, a left hook in the end of the second round stopping his battle at cruiserweight division against Romano Romasco.

In the co-main-event of the night, former cruiserweight champion Bogdan Stoica was absolutely devasted by the Jorge Loren of Spain. In the first round, Loren thrown a liver kick, but Stoica accused a kick under the belt. After video replay in the start of the second round, Stoica was deducted one point for simulation and another one point for a non-combat. In the last round, Loren was hunting a finish, his opponent being counted twice, but at the end, the Spanish won by unanimous decision and now is dreaming for a world title bout.

On April 12, in Resita, Romania, Superkombat season will continue with the first World Grand Prix of the year, Catalin Morosanu, Raul Catinas, Brice Guidon, Amir Zeyada and many other announcing another action packed show.

Cristian Ristea
(Romania) won by technical knockout against Romano Romasco (Ghana)

6. Superfight – Lightweight Bout (-65 kg)
Ionut Atodiresei
(Romania) won by unanimous decision against Stauros Exakoustidis (Greece)

7. Superfight – Cruiserweight Bout (-91 kg)

8. Superkombat New Heroes Middleweight Title – Middleweight Bout (-71 kg)
