Paul 'Semtex' Daley is set to face Igor 'Chatubinha' Fernandes in a headlining Welterweight clash at BAMMA 16, as the promotion returns to its trademark form at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester (UK) on 13th September. The event marks BAMMA's first return to Manchester since BAMMA 5, where Paul Daley knocked out Yuya Shirai, 1:46 into Round 1.
Flying in from Rio de Janeiro for BAMMA 16, Igor Fernandes brings a record of 18-6 since 2007 and is on a 6 fight win streak The Brazilian's last outing saw him defeat Rudy Bears via Anaconda Choke, just one fight after Paul Daley demolished Bears via TKO at Bellator in 2013. Fernandes' losses since 2007 have come against former UFC fighters Luis Ramos and Erick Silva, and also Brazilian Top Team's Gleristone Santos. Fernandes has a 78% Submission win rate.
