Pro Elite Inc. , the parent company of a growing umbrella of promotions, including EliteXC, King of the Cage, Cage Rage, and others, has announced that they have reached a television deal with the Fox Sports Net family of regional sports networks.
The deal, for four, one-hour broadcasts is expected to begin in mid-September and feature classic matches from all of the promotions under the Pro Elite banner. Jay Glazer and Frank Trigg, hosts of the PRIDE series of shows on FSN, will host the Pro Elite shows as well.
Based on ratings for the first four episodes, the contract could be extended, allowing for more shows and more fights to be broadcast on the networks of FSN. The specials promise to feature fighters like Kimbo Slice and Gina Carano, as well as 'vintage' matches featuring fighters like Anderson Silva and Urijah Faber.
