Mike 'Skull Cracker" Dolce, UFC veteran and star of The Ultimate Fighter Season 7 reality show has signed to fight one of the best welterweights in New England, Nuri Shakir at WCF6 on March 14 in Wilmington, MA. Information on the event can be found at http://www.wcfighting.com.
Dolce made a name for himself in the IFL before The Ultimate Fighter, and defeated Prince McLean in the opening round to earn a spot in the house. He was defeated by Jesse Taylor in the following round and has since joined up with Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Michael "The Count" Bisping, and is currently training with them in England . He's anxious to get back in the ring and is looking forward to his battle with Shakir. Shakir has fought a who's who list of UFC fighters throughout his career, and was most recently seen on WCF2 twelve months ago when he stopped Travis Lerchen by first round TKO.
Also added to the card is a rematch between Greg Rebello and Shawn DePaul. They fought back in March of 2007, and DePaul controlled the fight and was on his way to a decision victory when Rebello landed a big flurry of punches to stop him with only 10 seconds left. In another featured fight Chris "The Shocka" Grandmaison takes on undefeated prospect Anthony Leone. They are two of the most exciting fighters in New England 's 145 pound weight class, and they are sure to produce fireworks.
