Team Fortress 2 Fan Girls & Scout Update!
Our love for mashups is well documented, as recently as this past weekend we combined photoshop and video games to make special valentines just for gamers. Today we found an amazing piece of art from T03nemesis via Deviant Art.
"Team Fortress Fan Girls" features the 9 classes found in Team Fortress 2 depicted as women characters. His inspiration for his character choices range from the Olympics, the movie Aliens, anime, his friends' ideas, and even some "crazy bitch [he] saw walking down the street".
It appears that he will be selling hi-res prints of these for $20 US at some point and he suggests sending him a note to order one.
Artist's Comments:
The point of this little project was to create *unique* female characters for the 9 classes of teamfortress 2.
There has been fanart of lineups of the cast as girls, but i feel that the cast doesnt translate well with just a simple gender-swap. So i designed a new character, with a new personality, look and ethnicity for each class.
Allright time to give away secret inspirations for the characters.
Pyro, orignal idea, the mask was from "Lila" from "Dexter".
Engi, i got the idea from the chick in Transformers movie working on a car, i thought a girl grease-monkey would be cool.
Spy, this character "sprocket" from the viewtiful joe anime.
Heavy, i was stuck on dis ones for a while, my friend suggested looking at a character "mili" from trigun, so i got the idea of the coat from that.
Sniper, "Yoko" from the anime "Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann".
Scout, the olympics haha.
Soldier, butch chick from "Aliens" this one is pretty blatant i think.
Demo, some crazy bitch i saw walking down the street.
Medic, she originally looked like a nurse, my friend said "give her scrubs dumb-ass" and it kinda fell together after.

Steam News announces the new Scout update for Team Fortress 2 is now available, and in celebration they are selling Team Fortress 2 on Steam for half-price through Friday. The update to the teamplay shooter has been detailed for the past week, but here's the rundown:
Updates to Team Fortress 2 have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:
New features
• Added The Force-A-Nature, The Sandman, and Bonk!
• Added 35 new Scout achievements
• Added crit boosted on/off sound effects
• Added new sounds for upgraded teleporters
• Added new sound for a fully charged medic dying
• Add bonus points section to scores
• Scouts earn a bonus point for killing Medics who are actively healing a target
• Added several new speech concepts, mostly hooked up to new Scout lines
• Added new "Remember last weapon between lives" option to the Multiplayer Advanced dialog
• Spies can now control which weapon the enemy team sees them holding. Hitting the "last disguise" key while disguised updates the disguise to show the Spy's currently held weapon
• Added several new Arena mode announcer speech events.
• Added "First Blood" to Arena mode
• Removed 2x item respawn times in arena
• Changed backstab handling to fix facestabs
• Spies disguised as enemy team can now see player IDs for enemies
New maps
• Added community maps: cp_egypt, arena_watchtower, and cp_junction
• Updated cp_fastlane with Arttu's new version
Mapmaker requests
• Added new input for forward speed modifier to FuncTrainTrain
• Added TeleportToPathTrack input to func_tracktrain
Bugfixes
• Fixed a bug where players would sometimes gib from non-gib damage kills
• Fixed stat screen showing an entry for a class called "map."
• Fixed item model panels not using team skins
- Fixed obscure bug where spectators were able to carry the flag
