"Ultimate Fighter" season 7 winner, Amir Sadollah, will look to make his debut not only in the UFC, but also in the welterweight division as he face former WEC fighter, Johny Hendricks at UFC 101 in Philadelphia.
The fight was confirmed to MMAWeekly.com by sources close to the fight on Monday.
Sadollah has been sidelined for his last 2 scheduled appearances with separate injuries that kept him out of action. The most recent of which, a broken clavicle, postponed his February fight against Nick Catone.
Now dropping down to 170lbs, Sadollah will hope to stay injury free as he travels to Philadelphia to help welcome the UFC to the "City of Brotherly Love" for the first time.
His opponent, Johny Hendricks, is a transport from the WEC's now defunct welterweight division. Hendricks was 2-0 in the WEC with wins over Justin Haskins and Alex Serdyukov.
A member of Team Takedown along with fellow UFC fighter, Jake Rosholt, Hendricks brings with him a wealth of wrestling experience and ring savvy into the Octagon.
It's unknown at this time if the bout between Sadolllah and Hendricks will end up on the main card or prelims, but with the former "Ultimate Fighter" winner making his debut it should end up on the pay-per-view portion of the card.
